Neema Mosha

Neema Mosha is a medical statistician and a Research Associate at the Mwanza Intervention Trials Unit (MITU) and the Institute for Medical Information Processing, Biometry and Epidemiology, Ludwig-Maximilian University, Munich-Germany. She has a PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Stellenbosch University. Neema has over 10 years of experience in teaching and research in a range of topics including HIV/AIDS, non-communicable diseases, gender-based violence and women empowerment, violence against children, mental health, and health systems. She is currently the lead statistician on a longitudinal study designed to examine the predictors and consequences of intimate partner violence in Tanzania over time with a focus on women's economic empowerment, mental health, and alcohol abuse. She is also a guest lecturer at the Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences at Bugando, Mwanza Tanzania. Previously Neema worked as a faculty member in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College in Moshi, Tanzania.
