Before joining MITU Jane was involved in a range of research projects at the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) Mwanza centre, including studies on the epidemiology of schistosomiasis in rural communities, HIV prevention studies and a parenting study. Prior to working at NIMR, she worked as a clinician at the Sekou Toure regional referral hospital in Mwanza, Tanzania.
