Jiwanti Kabuka

Jiwanti directly manages all financial and administrative activities within the Unit, providing day-to-day supervision of all operational support staff. In addition to this, she is responsible for supporting new research proposals, including budget development, contract negotiations, technical & financial reporting and liaising regularly with academic colleagues at MITU/NIMR, LSHTM and other external stakeholders.


Jiwanti has total of 12-years experience in providing administrative and financial management support for large and complex research programs involving international research centres. Before joining MITU & LSHTM, she worked for programs funded by the US Centers for Disease Control, US Agency for International Development, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Wellcome Trust, European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations, UK Department for International Development, and other international non-governmental organisations.
