Ramadhan Hashim
Ramadhan Hashim is a Senior Data Manager and head of the data section at the Mwanza Intervention Trials Unit (MITU). As a senior data manager, he is responsible for developing policies and procedures for management of data across MITU studies, and ensures that the systems are GCP compliant. He is also responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of the data section staff. Ramadhan has extensive experience in managing data from a range of studies, including intervention trials.
Before joining MITU, Ramadhan worked as a data manager/epidemiologist in a large cholera vaccine trial implemented in Zanzibar by the World Health Organisation, International Vaccine Institute (IVI), and the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of Zanzibar. He also worked on large clinical trial (Intermittent Preventive Treatment in Infants-IPTi) implemented by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) as a data manager and site coordinator.
He is a graduate of the University of Dar es Salaam (BSc Computer Science) and LSHTM (Postgraduate diploma in Epidemiology). His research interests are in data management, use of GPS in health research, and epidemiology.
